The Forest Resort Golf Course was designed by internationally-renowned golf course architect, Tony Cashmore. This magnificent vision of such a legendary course designer resulted in a course of forest framed greens, fairways set in cathedral-like passages, sweeping slopes and cooling creek systems invoking the unique Forest experience near Ballarat and Daylesford, Victoria.

This beautiful 6.2km course incorporates natural vegetation in a bushland setting with 15 picturesque lagoons to add to the challenge of the game and beauty of the environment.

The international-class course is of championship length from the back tees, running 6,200 metres with each nine having two par-5 holes and two par-3 holes. The course design has allowed for the natural flow of land to determine the course routing wherever possible using all available ground elements - ridges, swales, spurs and trees to create golf course holes with individuality, visual beauty and strategic flexibility. In addition, amid the scenic beauty of the course surroundings are a generous practice fairway and other training areas.

In designing the course, the emphasis was environmental sustainability with the use of native/drought tolerant indigenous grasses and minimal chemical use. The course is watered with recycled treated water, thereby causing no strain on the environment and local water supply. This makes for a more challenging course and means that native animals will remain in this habitat.

From the novice to the professional, the chance to play on a world-class golf course is a rare opportunity for many but at Novotel Forest Resort Creswick, a Par 72, 6,200 metre golf journey awaits as part of the everyday lifestyle.

Please note car park at the resort is complimentary.

Golf Activities

The course offers a number of challenging and fun golf activities, if you are looking for something a little different to the typical 18 hole round of golf.

A new par 3 golf course has been incorporated into the current course, making for an easier and faster round of golf, yet still challenging.

Sip'n'Chip, specifically designed for groups with time limitations and varying skill levels, is a relaxing activity involving pitching to a wine barrel whilst sampling former contents of said barrel.

Golf is no longer just a day sport, but can be played at night too! Night Golf is played after sunset using glow in the dark LED golf balls and luminous markers to light up the fairway, bunkers and pins.
